Our C - Section release session is a specialised treatment designed to support postpartum recovery by addressing scar tissue restrictions, restoring function, reducing pain and improving appearance.
This appointment combines advanced manual therapy techniques, including myofascial release, cupping therapy & dry needling.
This same appointment can be used to address other forms of scarring including those acquired from laparoscopic surgery (endometriosis), appendix removal, tummy tucks and more.
Your session is customised to your unique scar and needs. We take the time to assess your history, symptoms and goals and provide optimal integrative treatment to support.
Osteopathy
A whole body approach, with a deep understanding of how women’s bodies change across a lifetime.
Manual Therapy
Osteopaths use techniques like joint manipulation, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue massage, and exercises, tailored to address your specific concerns. Treatments may include methods such as articulation, strain-counterstrain, functional techniques, myofascial release and lymphatic drainage - all based on your needs.
Dry Needling
Trigger-point dry needling involves inserting a fine needle into a muscle to release myofascial trigger points and reduce tension. It is often used to relieve pain, improve joint range of motion, and enhance body function.
Cupping
Myofascial cupping is a therapeutic technique where suction cups are applied to the skin to stimulate fascia, muscles, and blood flow, helping relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and support healing. The cups can be stationary, glided across the skin, or used with joint movements.
Rehabilitation & Exercise
Individualised exercise programs may be given to restore strength, flexibility and function while preventing future injury. These may include mobility work, motor control training, postural correction and functional movements tailored to your goals and recovery needs.
